YLD-8001, chemical name Neodecanoic acid glycidyl ester, CAS No. 26761-45-5.
Neodecanoic acid glycidyl ester YLD-8001 (CAS 26761-45-5) is transparent liquid with low viscosity, high boiling point and light odor.
The structure of YLD-8001 makes it a unique modifier for coating resins. Its epoxy group is highly reactive and can react with hydroxyl, carboxyl and amino groups. The reactivity of its epoxy groups allows it to be introduced into acrylics, polyesters and alkyd resins at room temperature without many side reactions. Polyesters prepared in this way can meet the design requirements of narrow molecular distribution and low viscosity. The structure of branched-chain fatty acids provides hydrolytic stability and weather resistance to ester groups. The suspended tertiary carbonate group also reduces the viscosity of the resin and improves pigment wettability and plasticity.
YLD-8001 can be used in the production of high-grade alkyd resin, polyester resin, acrylic resin and other resin modifiers, and can also be used as an active diluent for epoxy resin. The resin produced with this product has low viscosity, high flowability, good weather and chemical resistance, aging resistance, outstanding pigment wetting, etc. YLD-8001 is mainly used in coatings, paints, dyes and other industries, can also be used to produce automotive primers, topcoats and refinish paints and other products.
